Univ.-Prof. Dr. Sc. Dr. h.c. Irena Zavrl, PhD, 

Head of the Center for Doctoral Studies, 

has been awarded her second honorary doctorate (Doctor honoris causa, Dr. h.c.) by the University of Sjever in Varaždin, Croatia. The honorary degree was conferred by Rector Prof. Dr. Marin Milković on 30 September 2025 in recognition of her outstanding scientific achievements, exceptional contributions to science and education, and her pioneering leadership in the development of two joint doctoral programs involving ten international partner universities. The award also acknowledges her sustained commitment to advancing academic standards through the promotion of international research and educational cooperation.
