A Personal Journey

My graduation ceremony was an unforgettable moment, marking the culmination of an intense and enriching journey. After years of research, writing, and learning, it was an overwhelming feeling to celebrate my work with family, friends, and colleagues. The challenge of pursuing a doctorate not only advanced me academically but also helped me grow personally. During the ceremony, I realized how much the effort had been worth it. This day was not just an endpoint of my studies but also the beginning of a new chapter in my academic career.

The PhD graduation ceremony on September 14, 2024, at the stunning Esterhazy Palace was a truly unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and pride as we gathered with fellow graduates, faculty, and family to celebrate our accomplishments. The organisation of the event was impeccable, ensuring that every detail contributed to the dignity and joy of the occasion. As I walked across the stage to receive my diploma, I was filled with profound gratitude for all the support I received throughout my academic journey, especially from the program management team and my supervisor, Professor Marija Čutura. This day not only marked the culmination of years of hard work but also the beginning of new opportunities ahead. I am honored to be part of this remarkable community and look forward to what the future holds. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey!

Founder
For more than 18 years, I was responsible for a large international corporation in a managerial position and travelled mainly in Europe and the Middle East. With the opportunity to complete the Joint-Cross Border PhD Programme in International Economic Relations and Management, I got the chance to further develop my academic skills. In addition to my technical diploma studies and a master's programme, I was able to complete my PhD degree. Thanks to highly qualified lecturers and motivating fellow students, the study period was always an added value both professionally and personally. Prof Zavrl and her team, as well as the partner university, always endeavoured to respond to students individually. With this career step, I have now succeeded in becoming a managing director of a research company and a board member of a regional cooperative. Even though the degree programme took five years, it's worth sticking with it.

Promotion Day, September 14, when I received my PhD diploma, will forever remain one of the most memorable days of my life. Achieving my dream and holding my diploma in my hands, especially on my birthday and in the beautiful setting of the castle, is truly difficult to put into words. I am deeply grateful to everyone involved in the International Joint Cross-Border PhD Programme in International Economic Relations and Management, as well as to all the professors, with special thanks to my supervisor, for their exceptional guidance and support throughout this academic journey. A special thank you also goes to the Head of Academic and Scientific Commitees of Joint PhDs, prof. Irena Zavrl, whose dedication was invaluable in achieving this milestone.
